Middle Plains Forest is located minutes from the Green Mountain National Forest just off Vermont Route 125. Just north of the property, Route 125 follows boulder-strewn Middlebury River upstream to the higher elevations of the national forest, where Middlebury College's Breadloaf summer campus is just 7 miles away. Two miles further to the southeast, just below Middlebury Gap, is the college's Snow Bowl Ski Area. Minutes to the west of Middle Plains Forest is East Middlebury Village, and just a short further drive to the northwest is Middlebury's historic village center and college campus. Access to the property is via a gravel road that leads to areas that provide home development options well away from neighbors and road noise. With tree clearing, nice views of the nearby Green Mountains are likely possible from these home sites.
